Nut Butter of choice
NOTE: You can use any flour that you want, I just haven’t tried it with other flour yet. Do you know how to make your own oat flour?? Place your oats in a high-speed blender, and blend on high until it turns into flour!! SO EASY! I do this all the time. I use a Vitamix Blender for this.
Also, any nut butter would work. Almond, cashew, peanut butter etc. I used Julie’s Real Coconut Vanilla Bean Cashew Butter
How to make
Heat the maple syrup on the stove-top on medium-high until it begins to bubble; remove from heat and whisk in the nut butter.
Pour into a bowl with the oat flour.
Let the dough chill in the fridge for 30 mins, then add in chocolate chips; Press the chilled dough into a lined loaf pan.
Carefully remove the dough. Using a knife, cut into squares. Store in the fridge or freezer.
Yup, THAT’S IT!!
I’m sure you’re all wondering how I made them pink?? First of all, this is totally optional, but they are so festive for Valentine’s Day, don’t you think?
Ok, say here I added in 2 Tsp. of Beet root powder. Found at most specialty health food stores. You can totally add in good ole red foo coloring as well.
And any other add-ins you want!
I just love mini chocolate chips, but you could add sprinkles, nuts, cookie crumbles, or even your favorite candy bar chopped all up in there.
No one will know that the douh is made with good-for-you ingredients and they’re SO easy to throw together!Print
